Upgrade to EMM Labs source or buy many small things?

Signature Edition is $17 300 in Sweden.

And store only has $8000 limit credit payment plan, even if I sell my whole room I don't have enough.
I guess I just have to wait until someone sells it on Audiogon, but what if it's so good that nobody wants to sell it?

I might just get the old version instead and give up... At least my mp3's will sound little better.

I vote you save the money, spend part of it on visiting a good hairdresser and getting your teeth capped.

I don't feel comfortable paying so much for junk made in a garage. For that money I rather want to build something better myself, I want silver plated circuit boards without solder joints! Too bad they don't reveal internal pictures of their DACs...

DCC2 looks horrible with the display lights and pre-amp, I don't think it can be turned off. And DAC6 has those switches in the front.

Does anyone know a minimalist design that has upsampling?

It seems like I'm getting an old used DAC6 as temporary after I have sold my Cary 303/300 and amp. At least I can sell it later without losing too much.

Have you seen his fridge and body? There's nothing in the former, and nothing ON the latter. Apparently, a thirteen thousand dollar source is worth more to him than eating, or combing. or safety (doorknob)? I'd also be in no way surprised if he'd sold a few organs. My vote? Take that 13 grand and spend it on the rest of your life. House? Girlfriend? Car? Clothes? Food?

Money is simply a tool for enjoyment. He can spend it however he deems it fit.

Sounds like very sound advice to me.

Empty burning stomach feels good after you're used to it. Appetite when waking up is bigger and food tastes better, try it.

Which organ gives me most money? I'm looking to lose some extra weight to make me faster (I like the speed)... I need to keep my arms and legs though.

$13000 on a piece of audio equipment? How much money do you rake in? I think the money would be better spent on other stuff. Perhaps paying bills, mortgage, etc. If you've got everything paid off already, put it in the bank and save it for more important things in the future (Children's college fund, medical emergencies, parents retirement, etc). Or maybe donate a couple grand to a charity or something?

Are you really 23? Were you born into a rich family or something?

On the DCC2, one push of a button on the remote and all lights are off even the volume number. Everything is still functional and working, it simply shuts off the entire front display LEDS and volume LCD. Same with the CDSD.

Most of the time, that is how I use my DCC2 since I use an another preamp instead of the DCC2's pre-outputs. I have no need for the LEDS or volume indicator.
