The Focal Spirit Pro is pretty good , you'll not notice huge differences in resolution , it is more neutral though
Beyer DT880/990/770 all are better when it comes to resolution and clarity - but those need the amp !

I want to notice a difference you know?
 
I don't want to pay about £100 more and not find the difference that good, though i do understand the difference does exponentially decrease as you go up in the price range.
 
I'm looking primarily for closed headphones, don't mind if I need an amp.
 
In that case, for my budget (275) are the beyer's better?
