It's been a while since I posted here but I may be in the market for a new IEMs. I currently use the FLC 8s which I love - for those who know about this IEM, I have it tuned with the red plug (inner side of the shell), the gold nozzle, and the grey plug (on the outer side of the shell).
I listen mostly to well-produced electronic music and I like being able to hear the subtleties that an artist puts into layering their music. I like bass to be punchy but not dominating and the vocals to be present and not recessed. I like feeling a good size sound stage as well. Overall I guess I like a neutral to V-shaped sound signature.
Looking to upgrade potentially - price limit is <$1000.
Side note, since I'm a noob still, are ultimate ears still the holy grail of IEMs? What are considered the absolute best that money can buy?
