Looking for an upgrade from my DT770s. Preferably something open back; I really just want to upgrade to a more detailed/wider sounding set of headphones, although primarily listen to electronic music so keeping a good bass response is also necessary.

I was pointed towards Audeze and could swing into a local hifi shop and try out some LCD-2s this weekend but they're a bit more then I was looking to spend

I think for good bass something like Sony MDR-Z7, any Audio-Technica from the AIR or ART lines, Fostex TH-X00, or Denon D7200. NightOwl might be an option, but wouldn't say they fit the "detailed" description.

I was going to look towards the TH-X00 but the fact that Massdrop stopped carrying them was a bit worrying. Those Denons look pretty good, I'll have to see if there's somewhere local I can try them out

Check out the Fostex TR-X00, sold on Massdrop, I believe Denon's used Fostex drivers.

I enjoy the Sony MDR-Z7 for bass as well. Love my HD700 as it's a detail monster but I think it would be lacking in bass for most.
