I've been itching for something better, especially since my tubes are starting to develop problems.  Price wise I'd like to keep it at or as close to $1k as possible.  I'd also like to keep the dimensions similar, as in I don't want a huge amp, though I'm open to suggestions since I have a decent amount of desk space available for it. My PC's xonar essence stx right now acts as my DAC. From what I've been reading many recommend the Burson Soloist for that price range.  It fits my size requirements.  How would some compare that to the Schiit Lyr?
