Gilmore Lite or maxed-out PIMETA?

Is it an upgrade, a downgrade or is it just moving sideways?

Curious as I've heard such good things about the Gilmore Lite, it seems very inexpensive to DIY, and the idea of a fully discrete output stage does kinda get my musical mojo going... =P

But, it might be difficult to beat my PIMETA. This thing sounds better than it has any right to... XD

If you are happy with your PIMETA then you might not be happy with the Gilmore lite. IF the Pimeta does all you want it to do, then I would stick with it.

I recently switched from a Pimeta (with OPA 627s) to a Lite and it's a big improvement to my ears. Depends on your sonic preferences, but the Lite is a heck of an amp.
