Hello HeadFi'ers!

At the moment I'm not sure if I really would do it but
wondering if there is something better sounding amp
(with Sennheiser HD6xx) in this price range ($1500).
I like Classic, Jazz and R&B.
I appreciate your opinion and thank you all in advance.

P.S. I'm not against solid state.

I have an issue with the word better, but have you thought about something like the Ray Samuels Raptor, Singlepower MPX3 (with some upgrades) Dynahi and all of those amps?

I would mod the RKV. Helmut Becker of audiovalve can do it if you can not.
The mod is cheap and so good RKV made a special model out of it. The "Silver Signature" RKV MKII.
At least 2 members here found the RKV bested a Singlepower SDS! after the mods, at least with the HD650.

Singlepower Supra. Adds speed, detail, and better treble extention over the RKV. Bass is tighter and goes lower also. Also gives you many more options of fine tuning the sound through tube rolling. I would think that an MPX3 with a few extras would do the same. But have not heard them together. All opinions based on the HD650 with Zu and stock cables.
