I currently have a pair of Grado SR 225s driven by a old Sony STR-D711. Funds are limited. So, should I invest some cash in a Gilmore Lite HA with DPS or a pair of Grado RS 1s? Source material on CD is Classical, Soundtracks, 70s/80s Rock, and DVDs. CD player is Sony SCD-CE595 and DVD player is Sony DVP-NS77H.

Ever tried the AKG701?? Fabulous soundstage when on classical.

Budget in a wad of cash to buy an amp capable of driving the 701s.

I did consider that HP but from what I've read about the 701s on this forum, they REALLY need an amp and lots of burn time. With a Grado I can get away with putting an amp on low priority.
