I always tell this the kids, when they are knocking on my door on Halloween.
"THIS IS AN AMERICAN EVENT!"

I mean, Black Friday being an inherently American events seems to be the likely answer. I get that you don't like that, but being rude about it really isn't justified.

Mostly because of the big internet sellers strategies.

In my country we use now to make fun of it.
We call it "Black Fraierday" - that translate as "Black Suckerday".
