This IEM would be used with the Sony NW-ZX2. I like to listen to pop, rock and dance. Heart is my favorite group. I want a universal IEM with great balance between bass, mids and treble. My budget is up to $1100 and I was considering the Shure es846, but am concerned with its treble from what I read. Any recommendations or is the es846 still the one to get?

Maybe people don't understand my question. I want a great IEM like a K3003 or es846, but prefer a removable cable. I want something with good bass, mid and treble, but maybe that doesn't exist. Going higher on budget is possible if $1100 is not enough. I would think it is enough since the two I listed are under that amount.

for reference, I've heard these TOTL items: tralucent 1p2, Senn IE800, TG334, JHA Roxannes.
 
r2pro have some of the best, even FR I've heard in an IEM. great clarity and soundstage, too.
 
I've read good things about the Angie, too. But have not heard them.

Thanks for the replies. I have checked most of the above recommendations out and am intrigued by the Angie. It seems the Universal Angie is tuned for Astell & Kern players. How would it differ on a Sony NW-ZX2 if tuned for Astell and Kern?

Just get the Aurisonics ASG2.5. Fit is as close as a custom iem. Bass you can tune meaning you can tune the bass to pound or not. It has two Balance Arnature Drivers so the Mids and Treble are clear and detailed. Sound Stage is very wide now. Made in USA. Another I love us the Sony XBA Z5.
