So the amazing stock cable didn’t work well for you on the Odin? From the graph, it looks like the pinna gain/br
Thanks for sharing, can I ask how does it mean by Odin sound is too much? Is it too bassy ?
Well... Another IEMs plays music to me, however Odin sounds like...... pushing all sounds into my ears without any harmonies. Maybe I need more 'burn-in' work, which I already did over 150 hours.

I wonder if the bone conductor driver is such that over time, micro fractures in the shell may occur, especially if typically listened to at high levels?

I wish I could order a Mest with the Mini’s case, I actually prefer the design.

Maybe if this was some commonly found plastic variations. For properly made carbon fiber epoxy composites, I wouldn't expect it in a normal lifetime. If any glues are used to hold something inside, I think those would be the first to go. I've had carbon fiber parts in much tougher vibrational conditions (racing karts) without a problem.

Got to try the 64 AudioTrio today. Immensely similar to the MEST in terms of overall signature and very full bodied mids for a single BA, It has an edge in terms of the authority of the bass. But the MEST is leaps and bounds ahead in resolution. Very good for a triple driver triple hybrid setup but the MEST still tops it for me. Safe enough for me to say:

1. 64 u12t
2. EE Odin
3. UM MEST
4. Sony Z1R

Certainly getting interesting.

My ranking:

Odin
A8000
Luna
Project 71

I’m going to buy a MEST, but waiting for my wallet to cool off from acquiring my list this year. 2020 has been filled with incredible musical joy, but offset by incredible suffering by all sentient beings. And we still have 41/2 months left.

Very curious to see what you think compared to those. I A/Bed with Luna and Solaris SE and MEST has come on top.

The MEST may sound a little less forward in the upper mid-range that the ones you listed there, with quite a bit more bass response. Would probably be quite a bit different sounding.

Yes, that’s the idea. Each of my iems have a different tonal character although there are some similarities.

I was sent the wrong cable (2.5mm balanced instead of 3.5mm SE), and am happily surprised. It’s much more versatile. Interestingly, the cable comes separately (not in the packaging). I have a lot of listening to do this weekend.

Congrats on your MEST! Yes, you have a fun weekend in store.

Can you confirm your cable uses shrink as a y-split?

Could you share the link to one such review, if it isn't too much trouble? I would love to know more about the reviewer's observations.
I think they are two very different animals and have different drivers. We could be comparing durian and honey dew. Those who love durian prefer more bitter durians and those who love honey due prefers sweeter. So those who love honey dew find the TOTL durians too bitter and vice versa 😅😆
