Well for those who have the album release in Europe or for those who may have gotten a version some other way. What are people thoughts about the new album.

The three three tracks I say are
"Nothing In My Way"
"Bad Dream"
"Nothing in My Way"

It's less instantly accessible than the first...or not as good? Either way I'm putting it on regular play as I'm disappointed by Sonic Youth's Rather Ripped and I need something to pan out.

Broken Toy has distinguished itself so far musically although I'm not much given to this type of sentiment.

"A Bad Dream" is the best track on the album, possibly their best song thus far.
An obvious choice for the second single.

I've heard various bits of the new album, and it's very good in my opinion. However, I still think "Hopes and Fears" is overall better, but that may change upon repeat listens.

It's a pretty good album though a bit more uneven than Hopes and Fears.

So far my favorite is "is it any wonder". The opening riff is a direct steal from U2's "the real thing" though. Bad Dream is also very good. It will be interesting to see if this album has the replayability of the first album

There's that guitar sound because they put the piano through a guitar effects pedal.

Very much like how Edge gets his guitar to sound like keyboards sometimes.

I can definitely hear some U2 influences on some of the tracks. I find this album more interesting than their previous one.
