In my personal collection it’s the AKG N700NC M2. Certainly not my favorite headphones or the best ones that I own, but for what I paid for it, it sure does have a premium look and feel - much nicer than a lot of its direct competitors. It also beats all of them (well the ones I’ve heard anyway) in sound quality as well. The noise canceling, while not exceeding the competition, is on par enough for my needs to where I don’t need anything extra.
The one area where it stumbles is comfort. It has a high clamp force and small, narrow pads, with minimal headband padding. If you’re a NC junkie, I’d say it’s best used in short spurts to spell your daily drivers - I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone as an all day workhorse. As a backup/variety fix, they definitely fit the bill.
