I was thinking of grado but really don't like open air design and I'm looking at the k240 or k271 AKG. I heard these *need to be amped (I'm guessing so b/c they are "studio" headphones).

I think they look 20x quality of grado. What unamped cans for just my ipod should I get? Otherwise I'm definitely getting sf5pro IEMs.

If you like AKG sound, K81DJs are easy to drive. They sound great with my Zune 30.
