I have two IHP-120’s both have the same problem nether of them will record from the optical input if I select that option the unit just sits in standby no mater how many times I press record. In another record mode like Line input or Mic the recording is fine and as soon as I press the record button it starts recording but not on the optical input. TIA

What are you trying to record from? Plain old SCMS copybit problem, maybe?

Thanks for the info however the units will not start recording with optical input when no sig is present and yet it usesd to work fine and would go into record mode wether a sig was present or not. i am going to try using an old version of the Firmware as maybe the upgrades disabled the optical input for the reasons you cite.
