Sooo... I just walked in and found my cat licking the tubes of my DV336SE..

questions::

A. Is licking the tubes bad for the cat? (most important)??

B. Is it bad for the tubes... he seemed be mostly licking the RCA 6AS7AG tube?

C. why is my cat licking the 6AS7G tube?

Cats going to cat I guess....sigh...

Here is the Cat his name is Fitz and he likes to lick the tubes in tube amps apparently....

Cats gonna cat for sure - unless things have changed, regulator tubes are made out of borosilicate glass (basically Pyrex) which is non-toxic. Fitz is probably licking them because they're warm and new to him, and it's not going to do any harm to the tubes as long as cat slobber doesn't get into the amp.

My cat loves tubes. When I first got my MCTH he would walk up to it and just swing at the tube for some reason. Pretty sure it was because it lights up and it was new. He often just sits on my desk and looks at it. I wonder if he licks it when I'm at work..
