bought UM1s from earphonesolutions. can barely stand the withdrawn and anemic sound from most of my playlists. Some of it can be attributed to my music quality i'm sure, others from the fact that my Zune has no EQ or comparable settings. However the end result is that i want to try a different model.
My plan is to send them back to the company and upgrade. My budget would be blasted by buying the UM2s but i'd be willing to do that if the upgrade was staggeringly impressive.
I listen to dave matthews/trance/techno/ and things that have high bpm for doing races alone on my bicycle.
i like the UM1's silence factor, i also like that they fit so well in ear. the overall design is good..sound sucks.

whats the solution for under 300 and From earphone solutions?

.earphonesolutions.com doesn't show the IE7 and they don't sell the phonak. Guess i could just ask for a refund but i'd lose 15%.

will the UM2s sound good without being eq'd?
