I've been relying on my um1's amped from my pint for the last few months with no complaints. I liked the discrete looks and perfect comfort with the biflanges but the left channel is dead and I want a new sound. I also already received a replacement pair once so don't know how the warranty will work.
I'm currently making do with my KSC75's but they just won't do on the subway AND they look botarded. Going to guitar center after work tommorrow. Limiting myself to $100 tops as I'm never very gentle with my portable cans. Looking at the er-6i, Super-fi 3, and AKG k81dj. Anyone heard all three? I'd prefer to stay iem but if the sound of the akg is better I'll sacrifice a little portability. These will be used amped via go-vibe v5 out of an ipod.
