I've been wanting to get into making cables, and since I have a pair of Ultrasone Pro900s laying around with easy to swap cables, I figured I might as well start there.  However, I can't seem to find a supplier with the threaded tips that the cans take.

Hi,
i did the same thing as you want to do, two years ago.
i found a dealer in sweden or finland, i don't recall exactly, that sell the connector.
but in fact, few weeks later, i redo the cables completely.

i dismount the internal cables / the internal connector, i make a hole the other side, and make my cable, with Mogami cable / coton insulated and a rhodium plated connector.
 
the sound is more clear, more defined,  i gain more mediums.

Yeah... just don't know how comfortable I am about modifying the actual cans.
