So the Ultrasone Pro 900 has dropped in price to $260 on Amazon now and I'm wondering if I should get them.
I would use them to listen to EDM music (which I listen to a lot).
My current main set up is:
- Beyerdynamic DT 990 Pro (also have Sennheiser HD 598)
- Fiio E7 DAC
- Schiit Magni Amp
One question I really want to know though is does the Ultrasone Pro have a decent sound stage and does it have an open sound to it like open headphones do (yes I know Ultrasone Pro is a closed headphone, but they claim the S-technology gives it soundstage)?
I really dislike the claustrophobic and lackluster soundstage found in the vast majority of closed headphones. Sound stage and that perception of openness in open headphones is of vital importance to me.
