Ultrasone HFI-780--shorter cable?

I just bought a pair of HFI-780's, but the cable is 3 meters and I was hoping to shorten it a bit. I know I could just use a cable wrap, but what are my options as far as actually shortening the cable? It's not detachable, right? so how can I shorten it? Thanks
