Hey guys,
 
I want to buy a pair of Ultrasone headphones. Out of these four headphones, which do you think is the best? I mainly listen to hip hop and rock. I can get the HFI-580 for $130, the HFI-780 for $150, the Pro 550 for also $150 and the HFI-2400 for $200. I am have a Fiio E6. Which is the best out of these four?

Well if you like bassy, then don't get the 2400 because they are open back headphones.

I read reviews that say the 2400 have amazing bass. I now brought it down now to the 780s and the 2400s. I know the 2400s are open and the 780s are closed, but what gives the best overall sound quality? I know the 2400s are more expensive, but I can spend the extra money.

From what I read somewhere, they both have the same drivers and the only differences is open and closed.

Because the 2400 is open which will gives better details and natural sound. But if your leaning to bass then 780 is the way to go.

I've never had the HFI-580s, but I do have the other three.  The HFI-780, for the price, are outstanding.  The 550s, not bad, but have been consigned to the closet.  The 2400s are my biggest disappointment and have sworn me off Ultrasone.

Oh can you tell me why did the 2400 disappoint you? I haven't tried it yet and I'm currently looking for a new pair of headphones too.

Why is it a disappointment? I read reviews and they say they are outstanding. All I know is that the HFI 2400s are much better than my ATH-M50s

And did you burn in the 2400s? People say that the 2400s are the opposite of a disappointment lol
