After a Sennheiser 600's deal (Dakmart) got me thinking about headphones but started to look sketchy, I did some looking around and this is what I'm currently thinking. I know there are less expensive deals to be had in the U.S. but I'm not currently down there.

I'd be using them with the games, but for music it's ambient Lounge stuff, with some jazz or acoustic mixed in, usually. I'm guessing they are respectable with something like Hendrix or the harder stuff as well. The Ultrasones look portable enough to be usable in a coffee shop, comfortable enough to be used for long sessions with a sketchbook, closed, and I'm guessing the Fiio is enough of a portable amp that I can use a tablet as a source and be all right.
 
 
 
I'm sure there are great offerings from Denon, AKG, Sennheiser, Beyer, etc... that would be nice but for price and availability up here this seems like a combo that no one would laugh at, especially as a first set up.
