So, my employer is offering me the ety hf2's for $89, and the ue 700's for $137. Both are from the manufacturers, so I'd have Ety's 2 year warranty vs UE's 1 year warranty.

So, with that in mind, I am wondering which one I should go with.
I have never been an audiophile, I was the idiot thinking he had good quality at 128kb/s on Apple earbuds. But I recently came across this great opportunity.

I listen to a lot of rap, rock, and pop. I know that doesn't help much, but jazz appreciator I am not.
Lately been listening to Most Serene Republic, Broken Social Scene, Daft Punk, Modest Mouse, Jay-Z, and Pearl Jam.

My concern is durability, durability, durability.
Which ones are the best, most well built and reliable?
Which ones will last the longest, warranty aside?

Thanks for the replies.

wouldnt you trust a pair which has a 2 year warranty more than the pair with only one year?

My experience with the HF5 (same as HF2 - no mic) is that it is a great headphone for bass light music.

I think you wouldn' t enjoy these with rap...
