Hi all, my beloved UE600 cable connection is giving way (ugh, straight 3.5mm plugs are ridiculously hard to care for). Would appreciate any recommendations for good earphones about $150 (might as well upgrade), thank you! (BA preferred, but open to hybrids / dynamic as well)

The one in your general price range that I find most impressive is the iBasso IT01. It is textured, rich, harmonically complex, and very detailed. Slightly v-shaped but mids are still very solid. You might read about it and see what you think. It is possible it could work for you. There are others (1More Triple Driver, FiiO F9 Pro), but I think the IT01 is the best. FWIW. Just my take and YMMV, as always.

I saw on Massdrop there's the new EDC3 collaboration with Nuforce - apparently an upgraded version of the EDC. How does that compare?
