I was at the U2 concert in Charlotte, NC last night. Drove 300 miles to get there and back and it was totally worth the blurry eyed awakening this morning. I am still partially deaf and blind but this concert has made me crave for more concerts like it.
In one word:
UNBELIEVABLE!!
Anyone else go for the concert when they toured Florida? What an experience...what an awesome experience...
When they left the stage...people started to leave the stadium...and then they returned to play "With or without you" and you should have seen the people running back in from everywhere around the stadium...
Bono is also a driving force behind humanitarian rights and the ONE campaign and the message of peace etc. etc. was there for all to see last night.
The best part - they turned off all the lights and asked everyone to open up their cell phones....AMAZING!! The night sky descended to earth for those few minutes...sobering
