For a current project I am working on, I would like to a) be able to switch multiple things with one switch, and b) set up a several second timer to shunt output to ground until a circuit fully powers up. It appears to me that relays can be used in both of these situations, but I am unsure of the distinctions between different types of relays.
For the first use, I would like to switch several outputs as well as LEDs. I could use a 6pdt switch, but these are hard to find, so I think relays would be easier. For the second, this circuit http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/nuukspot/...ne2.html#delay seems workable, but I am still unsure of part numbers, etc. (the one mentioned in the article does not seem to be available in the US from the normal suspects.)
Thanks for any pointers,
