Is there a switching unit that would allow for this set up? I have a SS amp and a Soha amp and would like to use only one source. I've looked but haven't seen a unit that would work well.

Why not use a simple RCA splitter? You can connect two amps to one source at the same time that way.

Of course I did think of this but would it affect the other amp in any negative way? Back feeding was a concern.

No. The tape loop connectors of a preamp are connected the same way to the input (like you put the splitters on the input side of one of the amps). This gives no problem whatsoever.
