I have been thinking about ordering the counterpoint kit but all the resistors are 1%. I have read on the buffalo32s that part of the upgrade in sound quality came from using 0.1% resistors. Can anyone tell me which resistors I should upgrade(in signal path and stuff) or should I just use 0.1% for all of them?
Also would using different(boutique) caps instead of the ones in the kit help make any improvements? If the caps need to be better, can someone tell me where I should be getting them from.
Are there any other pieces that should be upgraded?
I realize this will come out to a lot more than the $75 the kit cost, but this is the last semi-major upgrade I plan on doing (possibly one of the shunt power supplies for the chip but down the road) so screw it.
Are there any other pieces that should be upgraded?
Thanks
