Ok I tried to burn in some very noisy EF860 tubes in my 339 amp. When no headphones attach and when I max out the volume on my soure and on the amp I can hear a slight noise like the actual music is ringing inside the tubes!
When I tunr the volume down this sound fades away so it's the actual music playing though them that makes this noise!? Weird!

Is there a faster procedure to burn the tubes?

Yes, this is normal (at least in some cases). It happens in my DAC, but not in the preamp. Or at least it's not audible in the preamp, which has a wooden case on it. I can't say I've hard much change in tubes beyond the first few days, so I'd not sweat the burn-in too much.

Yes, usually, these noise issues are more common with guitar amps. I have in the past used tube dampers on guitar tubes. Some of the worst noise comes from the 12ax7 tubes in the V1 position in guitar amps.

In home stereo tube amps, noise usually is not much of a major issue. If a tube is annoying, I also opt to throwing it out at times.
