Hello all,

I currently have the RME ADI-2 Dac fs and a dark voice amp. I was wondering if there was a correct way to set the volume on both units? Right now I turn the dark voice to half volume 12'oclock and then adjust the volume from the RME. Is that the correct way to balance these too volume levels? I have also heard that I should set the RME to 0db and then only use the dark voice volume control. Is there an actual correct answer?

Thank you in advance

If your DAC does not have a bypass feature on its volume control, yes that is the correct way (set volume of DAC to 0db).

Yes, it works just as @m-i-c-k-e-y explained. Ideally you want to use only one volume control in your entire setup. If your DAC and amp have their own, the one in the former should be bypassed either via setting volume level to 0dB, or by using a fixed line out if possible.
