As I am a tube amp noob, I don't know if this is normal or something unusual...

I put my headphone on and turned on the tube amp. As soon as I turn the power on, I can hear somekind of humming (like, brrrr) for about 3~5 seconds and then it goes away. It felt like the headphone lightly vibrating...is this a normal process for tubes powering up?

Yes, a hum at power-up is normal, but like you noticed, it goes away. On the other hand, if you hear a constant, low-level hum, it might be the transformers.
