I bought a pair of ZMF Vibro-tuned Blackwoods. LOVE THEM!!! Zach is fantastic to work with the sound of these is amazing!

I already had a Little Dot MKIII. I like the sound, but it doesn't have enough power to drive the ZMF's. It is rated at 100mW at 32ohm. I have a Schitt Magni 2 Uber. It has plenty of power at 1.2W at 32ohm. I would really like a tube amp that can drive them. Zach has suggested the Decware Taboo (1.6W at 32ohm). That is my 'end game' piece, but at $1800, it won't be the next step. Zach also said the Little Dot MKVI+ works well with these phones (1W at 50ohms). That is in the running.

I'm looking for any other suggestions of tube amps. Something with around 1W at 32ohms and around the price of the Little Dot MKVI+ ($900).

Thanks!

People in the Bottlehead SEX thread http://www.head-fi.org/t/683012/bottlehead-amplifier-discussion-comparison-thread-crack-sex-mainline have been raving about the combination.

Thanks! It looks like the S.E.X. might be a great fit. ... Any others anyone???

The Schiit Lyr 2 will give you 6 watts ( really ) into 32 ohms. And you can use the LISST to go full transistor if you want.

That looks like a good option. Thanks!

Project Ember II is a other great option. I've had both the Lyr and the Ember and they are very close. I like the Ember because you can use one tube. Saves money

Remember, it's not always about raw power :), check in the ZMF threads for ideas.

Oh cool, I've heard cool things about that amp... you'll have to post a review when it all comes in!
