looking to buy audio elise or woo audio 6 amp which would sound better with 800s.

Woo WA6 is better for low impedance headphones.
The WA2 would be suited better for the HD800.
 
Don't quite know enough about the Elise to give a good opinion on it.
 
For a little below their quality, the Bottlehead Crack with Speedball upgrade or the Schiit Valhalla 2 are highly recommended with the HD800.

I can not comment as to which amp would sound better as I only have a WA6 and WA22. I can offer the Woo Audio recommends the WA6 for use with the HD800 series and for good reason. They are a solid performing match. I use the HD800 with both my amps and am looking to add the 800S to my setup. I enjoy the WA6 almost as much as the WA22 and many users find the WA6 to be well up to the task. It is also a delight if you want to tube roll. Worth your while to visit the WA6 WA6SE thread for user opinions and more insight into the WA6...
