I have the Fidelio X1 for a long time now and I've heard a lot of people recommend a tube amp to bring out the mids a little bit more. I'm torn between the Woo Audio WA6 (699$) and the Pan Am (499$, on sale for 399$). Anyone any experience with these setups? I like the looks of the Woo Audio more but the 200$-300$ difference might be too big if the only difference is aesthetic.

And yes, I know those amps are probably a little overkill for a 300-400$ (depending were you live) headphone but I've always wanted a tube amp and money isn't really the issue.

Keep in mind that tubes have a pretty high output impedance, whereas the fidelio x1 only has 30 ohms... not favorable dampening factor.

Haven't owned either of those amps but I'd take a look at the Bottlehead Crack or a SS amp
