Protek67
Head-Fier
My first headphone amp was a little bear p7 that I got a few years ago, decided to move on but enjoyed it. Now when I pull it out of the closet it has a buzz. Can you tell me if it's fixable or just get a new one? (It's pure tube class A supposedly, one large power tube two smaller pre-amp? tubes)
The noise only happens when I have something plugged into the RCA input, it can be even just a cable with no source. At minimum volume there is no buzz but anything after that there is a buzz. I have tried two different cables along with other thing's but that's what I have it narrowed down to, nothing plugged in no buzz even at max volume. Cable plugged in get buzz with added volume.
I'm fine with purchasing another tube addition but if I can get this thing to work why spend the money, it's just for the experience nothing elite or anything.
*edit: I'm not afraid to take it apart just need some kind of idea of what to do
*edit again: oops wrong sub-forum
