I made a thread in which I was trying to find headphones for portable use for listening to metal.

Now I need studio headphones for under $150 for studio use that would sound good with metal genres.

Any suggestions?

KNS8400 is an interesting choice. At the outset, you need to be willing to replace the cable because it bears noise into the left earcup. Isolation is quite good. Comfort is slightly above average.

I wouldn't say it sounds good, but presumably you're intending to use it for studio work which is what it does very well. It's very resolving, so for example if you're listening to 80's trash metal on it (which, as you know, was poorly recorded), you can hear everything--the good and the bad. It's provides a clinical sound. Yes, that's the best description.
