i was wondering if there was anyplace like in manhattan where you could test out decent earphones..i dont even know if a place like this exists but if it does that would be pretty helpful

I am in NYC and want to know the same. I never saw IEM tried out and only few full can in place like Apple store

Yeh there is no such place.....B and H on 34th has lots of cans to audition though.

I don't know if anyplace would let you try out IEMs, mainly because it may not be that sanitary, but J&R lets you try out a lot of different cans. Also J&R and B&H will give you two weeks to return if you don't like them...
