I've been trying to install an ASUS Essence STX II 24-Bit 192KHz Sound Card + 7.1 daughter card on a Windows 7 64 machine for the past day. I've tried ASUS drivers as well as Xonar Audio Center. Tried various configs inside my machine moving cards around. Tried Optical/Toslink as well as RCA to 3.5mm since I'm going out to Logitech Z-5500 5.1 speakers. I have to blast sound on my system as well as the speakers to just barely hear the music (poor quality as you might imagine).

Does anyone have any suggestions for troubleshooting this install? I did read on Amazon that people had issues on Windows 7 but nobody mentioned any solutions.
