Hi,

got some triplefi 10's and have been mucking around with a parametric eq in 'neutron' a great media player on android, very professional.
Compared to stock its a big improvement to my ears but I think it should work good with yours too. The variables between us are the source used (output impedance), your ears and maybe if you believe in burn in, so results may vary.

I've included two lots of settings one using a galaxy s infuse with voodoo sound ( 3db boost setting in sub range) and one using a 'cmoybb' amp in between (also using voodoo sub bass boost cos don't bother to turn it off). I don't think bass boost is necesity for good sound but I use it as might be a bit of bass lost using only the phone (due to the interaction of the output impedance and the impedance of the triplefi's). Also the main reason for two sets of settings is the highs are significantly affected by the output impedance of the source with these phones. The treble is higher (compared to phone alone) using the cmoybb amp which I believe has a low output impedance of near 0.

I used a few techniques like looking at various frequency response and impedance graphs, using a sine sweeper, (you could try the sine sweeper ie 'sinegen' to improve the sound for your ears). Also did a lot of looking at the equalizer output from the phone via a computer using 'cool edit pro' to analyse frequency response. I'm really happy with result; fun and accurate sound and thought should share. Here's the parametric settings using 'neutron' media player.

The other affect these settings can have is give the 'etymotic hump' which they is required for all IEM's to sound best.

Settings for galaxy s infuse with cmoybb amp & triplefi. Second the settings without amp.

low band gain -10.16 to -5.15 , -8.26 to -5.15
mid1 band -6.37 to -3.52 , -9.75 to -3.93
mid2 band -11.10 to -5.28, -12.05 to -4.7
high band -5.69 to -3.93 , 0.27 to -0.82
low band cut off frequency 2000, 2000
low band Q 1.857 , 1.857
mid1 band center fr 1150 , 1150
mid1band width 1.346 , 1.346 (trying 0.935 for both)
mid2 band center fr 200 , 200
mid2 band width 1.278 , 1.278
high band cut off fr 3390 , 3390
high band Q 2.541 , 2.541 (could try Q 1.77 for both?)

tell me what you think :)
