Well, my Triple.fi 10s arrived 6 days before expected, so I got a nice Christmas present.

Anyways, I noticed it came with an extension cable but when I tried it out, it seemed like it EQed the vocals out of all songs I tried; I tried it with both my laptop and iPod nano (Video + Fiio e5 are charging). I also tried out my ER4Ps with it, and they worked fine.

Is this a common problem?

No it is not a common problem. Are you using that adapter that is about 2 inches long? That adapter lowers the volume, and the EQ does not sound right either.

The airplane adapter is a 100 ohm adapter so it should work pretty well for your etys.

I am talking about the little over a foot long cable, not the airplane adapter.

That would be a short somewhere in the cable. It's defective.

If there is a short in the cable, why would it work with Ety?
I just bought a Monster extension cable for use with the PC. It's shielded and longer than the one supplied. I'm sure UE will send you another if you call them.
