I just finished up my PIMETA with TREAD recase and everything is working perfectly(!). The TREAD is my first venture into the DIY power supply club, and it was a great success. The extra power is also useful in case I want to upgrade to better opamps. The build was a snap, the only problem I ran into was accidentally mixing up C7-C8, but that is obviously a user error

Overall, a great upgrade if you want to move out of a Serpac case and want to add something more than just aesthetics.

Great that you managed it!

I recently downgraded from a steps to a thread in my pimeta to have a smaller one-in-all enclosure and I couldn't really find any big big differences in the sound.

I used double sided tape to attach the heat sink, and surprisingly it seems to work quite well

. Maybe not ideal, but it is certainly keeping things cooler than with no heat sink.
