i actually tested this with amethyst/quartz/onyx/tourmaline
and funny enough they seem to have a effect, i placed mine on the concrete slab beside the speaker on each side

imo quartz/amethyst was quite similar but i didnt really like the effect (it was sort of a "activating" effect), onyx had nearly no effect and tourmaline had the best effect out of them(in my book), its a sort of subtle calming effect and it seems to clean up the sound just like the chinch plug does, the effect was way greater as i placed a zipbag filled with leftover crushed torumaline on top of each speaker above the tweeter

i guess its worth a try, even if it sounds kinda nuts

tho this let me question a bit if these crystals really "change" the sound (or remove noise) or if vibration/electricity actually "activates" the crystals so the crystals themself have a greater effect on the body(?), but the esoterics also speak about torumaline as a counter to EMI, so maybe both?

im not sure what i think about the placements of crystals, im more on the "objective" side where the crystals may matter themself or if they are placed on electronics or not but i dont really believe in these "patterns"

tho i must say, i really like tourmaline effect...

from my side there are no updates yet, still planning, but i actually found a bit of reading material about other piezoelectric crystals too which might be worth trying

I haven't used them yet, but am about to begin experimenting with building my own IEM cables so that may offer an ideal means of utilising the crushed crystals in future.

for trying it might be enough to put them in a bag and put the bag on top of your mobile music player, atleast its worth a try but im unsure if the case is actually connected to "ground/minus" on mobile devices

i think its worth a shot trying these silver plated pure copper plugs with some silver cable

i will definitely try this at some point, but it might be more costeffective to try my expirements with the dynavox plugs

shungite and tourmaline powder is on its way, i found a nice german seller that actually offers 0,8mm powder/granulate of both, also quality wise it looked promising, also its on the cheaper side with 30€ per kilo

i think i will test following stuff:
1.1. chinch plug with plus pole cable with tourmaline
1.2. chinch plug without plus pole cable with tourmaline

this will be the first test to see if plus pole "treatment" is actually desired, this is also no problem since tourmaline doesnt conduct electricity

next up:
2.1 chinch plug without plus pole cable with tourmaline + shungite 50/50 mix
2.2 chinch plug without plus pole cable with tourmaline + shungite 30/70 mix

since shungite conducts electricity its not possible to easly implement a plus pole cable since shungite would short plus and ground
but it might be worth checking this:

2.3 chinch plug with plus pole cable (which is isolated in some form) with tourmaline + shungite mix

one good idea is probably bending a isolated cable in the middle, solder both ends to the plus pole and isolate the plus pole with something
maybe its also worth trying a tourmaline only plug with this kind of plus pole

3.1 testing silver plated pure copper plugs vs standard plugs
i will see what my previous favourites were and test it with a pure copper silver plated plug + silver wire as plus pole

4.1 getting emi shield tape to tape off the chinch plug


why i choose shungite as addition? well in german forums there is a general consent that surface area matters with tourmaline and shungite should in theory just act like this, extending surface area of the chinch plug itself, thats also why im unsure if 50/50 or 30/70 mix is better, i could imagine that the "shungite conductive grid" isnt really there with a 50/50 mix
beside this more scientific reason i also thought its worth a shot to try the emi benefits the esoteric healing stone people talk about, maybe there is a correlation? i dont think its much off here logicially
soo... i also bought 1kg of shungite rocks, placing quartz near the speakers definitely showed me that there is some effect going on...

well i also plan to build a grounding box but first things first...
