Toshiba vs. Adcom GCD-600

I got an adcom for free but it has a few issues. My question is, has anyone compared the two? I can spend $50 on a new Toshiba or on repairs to the Adcom. I would like to know which is a better investment. Thanks.

The Toshiba 3960 is so good, I use it with my Singlepower Supra. You should dampen the top of chassis and use footers like Sorbothane or a bycicyle tire tube.

You can use thin vinyl tile from Home Depot for chassis dampening. Loosening the transport screws is also a good step. Shaking on first track of the cd is a way to measure how well transport vibrations are dampened.
