This weekend I decided to hook my Corda into my DVD player, a Toshiba SD-2109. I was absolutly blown away with the clarity and dynamics. The detail that was pulled out was amazing. It was the same effect as when I added a headamp into the mix. It was as if I was hearing the CD for the first time all over again.
So I pulled-out another, newer, DVD plaer I have, a Sony DVP-S360 and found it dull and lifeless in comparison. My SB Live actually sounds better.
If anyone else here has the 2109 I would love to hear your impressions of it with regards to the quality of redbook to confirm I'm not smoking the cheap crack again (my dealer can be dishonest sometimes).
