He pretty much nails it about the balance between transparency yet sounding pleasing. Also, the lack of fatigue component. Same goes for HD 800.

@Zoom25 - A local supplier has an audition room in which you can instantly A/B/C three sets of speakers. They stock the SCM25As too (handy) - I'll probably end up spending a fair bit of cash with them :¬)
 
Power seems to be very good here, I think I got lucky with this house. Sometimes I think music sounds smoother at night but that can be due to distractions and state of mind rather than something empirically measurable.

@Music Alchemist - Very useful graphs, thanks. I tend to ignore them for audio playback and judge by my ears, but for mastering they become incredibly important. SR-207 looks to be pretty much spot on, as with the HD800. I'll be speakers by day, headphones by night, so comfort is key. Another HD800 win.
