The band’s albums took four of the top five slots on the Top Rock Albums chart, the first band ever to do so. Linkin Park previously held the record with three albums in the top five following Chester Bennington’s death in 2017.
“Sober” has collected upwards of 2.9 million streams and 21,000 downloads in the U.S., good enough for the #3 spot on the Top Rock Songs chart. Several other Tool songs appear in the top ten and top 20.
Tool are #1 on Billboard’s Artist 100 chart. The chart, which launched in 2014, “measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay, streaming and social media fan interaction to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.”
Tool songs occupy ALL TEN of the top ten spots on Billboard’s Rock Digital Song Sales chart, with an additional four songs between the 11 and 20 slots.
As we reported yesterday, the band’s new single “Fear Inoculum” notched a #93 entry on the Billboard Hot 100, making it the longest song to ever appear on the chart with its 10:21 runtime.
“Fear Inoculum” is the band’s most streamed track on both Spotify and Apple Music.
