So I'm looking for a stand alone DAC...

- $120 to spend
- Must have toslink or can connect to my Macbook Pro optical not usb
- better than my Macbook Pro DAC

So what do you guys have for me? I know it won't be much....

That's kind of asking alot, IMO. Have you done searches on this? There are other threads asking alot of the same, and they're coming up dry.

Also: Why are you so opposed to USB?

Musiland SVDAC06 works for me and is much better than my MBP analog-out. I'll get a mini-review up after proper burn-in (which will take some time), but I am very impressed so far. It has a solid headphone amp that functions as a preamp for your speakers too.

You can have them both plugged in and playing at the same time.

All my USB slots are taken up I even have to use a usb hub.

That sounds good, I'll take a look into it too bad the display is red led...
