Just a few changes to my review of this excellent player:

cd's DO initialize quickly, however
when the tray is empty, player takes a long time "searching" for a disc

Now that I have had this cd player for a month, I feel that I have very good grasp on it's qualities.

It kicks ass. For $500 this is a great value. It is nice to have another option at this price point in addition to the fine products from NAD, Marantz, Cambridge Audio etc.

If anyone is curious, the player is distributed by Morrow Audio and can be found at the Morrow Audio website.

Again, I will be bringing this piece of gear to the July 26 2008 meet in NJ if anyone wants to check it out.

Hey, your right! I did not know about the Bada. I see the Bada is $100.00 less than the Tonewin. At first I thought they were the same and I spent more than I needed to. Gratefully, both companies have pics of the components interior. It appears that the Tonewin uses better parts. I am no expert though. I have only heard the Tonewin and am very happy with it. Perhaps the Bada is also a good value? I suspect the Bada is a great choice at the $400 price point.
