Tokyo - Fall 2010 headphone festival

The O2 has much more impact than the Senn stats and this new headphone supposedly has more impact than the O2s...not sure I'm following some of the logic in this thread.

I do wonder if it'll be a limited production run.  If so, I'm gonna have to jump on a pair quickly.

I haven't heard anything about a limited run so I vry much doubt that would be the case.  That said, if there is a lot of demand then there won't be a lot of sets to go around.  Stax only makes a few SR-007's a week so this shouldn't be any different.

To my ears, the OII impact has some 'flab', even on a BH (again, my ears, my source material). IFF that has been tightened, I'm interested.

The more neutral tonal balance and better dynamics are sounding like an ideal step for my listening tastes. I can't wait for mid 2012 when I can get one used for about a 1k less. I may have to save for one of these!

Oh..we didn’t know that there were people coming from Head-Fi.

We exhibited our product, GO-DAP (portable headphone amplifier for your iPhone 3GS/3G with an integrated battery) there too…

I can't say I like the look of the headband on it. The leather part that rests on the user's head appears very large compared to the rest of the headband, which looks very long and thin (looks strange...).

Your GoDap is pretty sweet - for many reasons other than just amping. I can see a big future for it especially if the fitting gets modular for every iPhone/iPod touch. I could not make it to the headphone show this year, which is a shame, but next year, I will probably try to make it.

I'm sure they sound amazing, but I thing the new stax flagships look kind of ugly. the O2s look much more sexier

Some people prefer bass quantity over quality.

As far looks go, the new prototype looks fine.  I'm much more concerned about sound and comfort.  The SR-007 did not work for me in San Antonio, just too hot and humid for them.  Their comfort level is not even close to Lambdas, Sigmas, HE60, etc.

Definitely interested..

Maybe I have to sell my arms and legs for this.. :)
